Netlingua is an installation/experiment in the emergence of language

It explores the question:

If natural human language is a complex adaptive system
which emerges through the interaction of multiple agents
with each other and their environment, could language emerge
in an artificial community created upon these principles?

This interface is divided into four sections:

-Visualization of each agent in the network's internal representation
-Explanation of the concept and structure of netlingua
-A dictionary of the words the artificial community came up with during a three week trial run
-Documentation of netlingua installed at Bennington College, Spring 2003
